I’m a bit of an Howard Philips Lovecraft fan, perhaps obsessively so, so you can no doubt see the obvious chthonic origins of the Nine Screaming Men. If you have never read Lovecraft’s work, my current favorite story of his is “At the Mountains of Madness,” available online for free or in many different reprint collections at your local bookstore. Well, at least while bookstores are still around.

Errr… I can only see eight Screaming Men.
That’s a fair point. There actually is another on our far right, behind the one in front. You can see his crazy hair sticking up. But, having said that, I realize that’s a little weak, and I should revise this. Perception is everything in comics!
Corrected! Thanks again for pointing this out to me.
I like this alot….but are the Thu-Lynn’s class? or higher?
Well… I would say these are of the class that Thu-Lynn was before she was diminished and earth bound.
they *the
Eep.
I’ve been playing the MMO “The Secret World” lately. It has a lot of Lovecraftian influence, along with some Greek, Norse, Icelandic, Egyptian, and Eastern European mythology woven together into a truly amazing crazy quilt of zombies, revenants, spooks, specters, broodwitches, draug, Ak’ab, and other wretched evil. It’s glorious.
These guys would fit right in.
Sounds like a really cool game.
For some reason this reminds of the ending of the movie Howard the Duck, where the hero stops the evil aliens rushing in to destroy earth by denying them the completion of their transport (thereby ensuring their planet’s safety). In doing this, the aliens fall back to their original location.
Ok, to review..
1) Greg is a troubled soul.
2) He is still very traumatized, wither he shall accept it or not.
3) Dr. Synn is still tied into this and has, mystical resources and information…
4) He (Greg) is in possession of a weapon which opens doorways into the fifth dimension…and even though he is stepping into a situation he is not aware of; The Nine Cuthulu Elder types who are among the most powerful in this section of the Multiverse…I wonder if they are Third dimension bound…because if they are not at this time per se’ then they will be when united into Dr. Nazi! OH NOES…why does this all of a sudden remind me of the 1st Infinity Gauntlet series?!? (My Favorite) Tyvm for this story! God bless you two, and when this section is done…I will read it to Hunter (He is my son with Autism, but he loves comics and the stories…but he is still leaning the finer nuances of reading) thank you again, I can’t wait to see this!
Thanks you so much, Al_Tech. You reading this to your son is awesome to me!
The soon to be ten screaming men?
