That’s because in this comic, the fourth wall seems to be made of WORDS. WORDS WORDS WORDS.

Nah, Bryan’s just talking to himself. Has to have an intelligent conversation with somebody while waiting for Tom to run out of gas.

Yup, didn’t think he was gonna hit Tom-he seems more amused by Tom’s ranting than anything else. Probably mildly curious about how long it’ll take for Tom to run out of gas.

Funny thing is, I can see myself doing the same thing in Brian’s place, standing there thinking “Dude, when are you gonna stop for a breath???” while sneaking a peek at the stopwatch I started when Tom started yelling.

Yup, can see the veins throbbing in his forehead. Maybe if Brian just waits, he’ll burst a blood vessel or something.

Could be messy, actually, Brian. I’d step back a bit.

You guys are making me laugh, and I drew the darn thing! My favorite touch is Tom’s face getting more red with each panel. I’ve seen people that mad, and it isn’t pretty–but it can be funny.

I was gonna ask, how much fun was it to draw Tom flipping out? Also if somewhere there is a transcript of the whole rant going on in the background.

It looks like his face is getting more and more swollen too. Eventually his eyes are going to devour those tiny glasses.

Ranting could be a secondary power for Titanium Tom – his name might be changed to Titanium Ticked Off Tom – or Titanium Tantrum Tom … Yeah, that sounds nice. very nice. T3 for short. *snicker*

I have visions of Brian standing there until Tom runs out of steam, then handing him the mace and saying, “You’re welcome.”
