Hi, Everyone! I made several updates to Monday and Thursday’s comics. On Monday, the tall man is putting a pillow behind his head rather than sticking a music tube in his ear. On Thursday, Gauge is handing the EMT a clipboard, and I added in the “Action 4 News” logo. Benita and I will try to stay more on the ball in the future! I know I’ve learned a lesson about clarity here.

Guess we’ll get to see a full list of the dead and wounded. Wonder how Saturn and Utopian will be portrayed.
As “seriously wounded”, I’d guess, since when they last appeared, they were both still alive.
Actually, I was more curious on the spin they’d put on their actions, since Saturn is a vigilante who isn’t part of the Squadron, and Utopian just vaporized a guy’s torso. And as any reader of the Daily Bugle knows, you can spin what superheroes do however you like, especially if there’s a body count around.
It’s all up to Gauge, now, and how she spins it.
I imagine Utopians status will be kept under the rug.
Um, what is Gauge doing to the guy in the blue uniform? (I think he’s an EMT or cop)
She isn’t doing anything to him. Just looks like that because she’s holding a pen or something like that.
@Mirikon. Picking up from our discussion of page 1 of this issue, with the powers Staff showed in containing TiTom and Utopian, I would think she could create a force field around a hatch, get out, close the hatch, then drop the field, causing very little disruption, although an older rustbucket like the one she appears to be on might not be able to take the strain. But if she’s out of range, she’s out of range. And she really couldn’t know what was to happen, even if she was still part of the Squadron, which she’s not. Way to go, Elect and the Powers that Screw Up.
Also, I’m not sure Staff of Life’s identity is secret. It’s just a pair of glasses, after all, unless we’re doing the Superman thing, of course. I suppose we’ll learn that in the nifty directory/reference Scott’s making for us. But I’m thinking not; I suspect Tactical knew when she was going to be too far away to help, and timed his attack accordingly. If he wasn’t ready to face Staff last time, I don’t see why Tactical would feel any better about it now if he need not do so.
You bring up some interesting points about leaving the plane. My thought would be that she could accomplish that, but it would be a big risk she would be taking with a plane full of people. Plus, she watching the aftermath of the battle, when the reporters and EMTs and cops are around..
In my mind, none of the Squadron members have secret identities. I think they are more like rock stars that have to protect their privacy. Greg Buchanan as Johnny Saturn still has a secret identity, but I don’t know how long that will last.
The Character Listing is in Dustin’s hands, and he’s proofreading it. It’s big, and I’m not sure yet the best way to display it, but it’s going to be cool.
That’s great, Scott. I, for one, appreciate you doing something like this for your readers. I have to admit that I adore lists and directories.
Cool man, its getting good
Jeff
is that “commend” or “command” ? (a pun?)
Whoops!
