I could be wrong but even though the pistol looked mostly conventional it probably is far from. Tactical seems to like to understate weapons much like the childlike ray gun he had before. I would not be surprised at all if he had a gun that while looking and sounding rather normal shot fragmenting projectiles at near hyper velocities.
I envisioned exploding bullets early, with shaped blasts. Now I'm starting to like the idea of antimatter ammunition.
Does anyone remember the first Men In Black movie? When Will Smith's character gets this little gun called a Cricket? That didn't inspired the gun, but it did fondly remind me of that scene.
Why would Lacerator mourn someone he hates? Besides, he's a villain for crissakes. All he cares about is the bottom, and Tactical's his meal ticket right now.
Sorry, Scott, my comment went awry. You didn't give the impression, to me, anyway—I was simply responding to warsmithbob's comment. You make it fairly clear that Lacerator, like the rest of the Iron Brigade, with the possible exceptions of Skorn and Alaric, are all clearly out for themselves. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a series of one-on-ones when Greg was fighting them. That, to me, was a combination of showboating and secretly relishing in each 'teammates' embarrassment.
having those weapons is actually pretty logical for Tactical. he "owns" a suitcase of meta-weaponry. I'd say those guns were all built to even the odds between regular army units and meta-humans a bit, so they have to pack a mean punch. and on meta-human power scale Max ranked rather low…
Max's sole ability was that of jumping around like a hopped up kangaroo, an ability that is somewhat useless anywhere there are low ceilings. Power rank 2.
Tactical does have a small arsenal of meta-level weapons. He likes weapons that go bang and make a mess, so he doesn't use lasers much. Tactical himself has no meta-powers, falling more into the power-armored type of villain. He's got a small group of engineers upgrading his armor continually.
Is that pistol more than .50? Or does he have some exploding ammo?
yes
haha
My word those are some wound chanels.

The noisy cricket was awesome. I'm never going to forget that.
Your associate gets blown to kingdom come in front of you and all you can do is worry about your bosses blood pressure.
Lacerator just became one of my favorite characters. And is it just me, or is he wearing cowboy boots/dress shoes?

Sorry if I gave the impression that Lacerator is mourning Manic Max. It's more like a moment of quiet reflection before his forgets about it.

All true.
