Interesting powers, that means she can probably live about anywhere as long as it doesn't kill her right off when she gets there.
At least now her cybernetics should work better now that they have been fixed.

Indeed, this is true. There's more to her condition than that, though, something really cool: It'll be detailed in Monday's episode

The most pertinent question regarding her adaptability I can think of is, how fast?

Good question. She doesn't regenerate, per se'. Her power is to simply survive any catastrophic injury.

I wasn't really thinking of regeneration, just how quickly does her body react to a change in her environment that it must adapt to?

Well, think of the surgeries she underwent while a prisoner of Wissenschaft. She had no pain killers, nor was she put under to be cut on. Also, major portions of her body were removed and replaced by cybernetics, which her body had to accept or infections and gangrene would set in. Since that didn't happen and her body is now going beyond merely accepting the implants, I'd say her body's ability to adapt and heal are pretty quick. Those were pretty drastic and shocking and everyone else had died.

Let's say she gets a paper cut – it would probably be gone in a few hours versus a few days. That's why she healed so well from the incisions made by Wissenschaft, which were much worse than paper cuts. And, now even the scars seems to be going away.

This is something I plan to explore as I write more about Mollie. Will her skin grow over the implants making her look completely normal again? No, but the connection areas between implant and flesh will be better blended and you won't be able to tell easily where the connection point is.

But the healing is more than just to her body. The more time that has passed since her imprisonment, the more her mind heals, too. I mean, she has already healed mentally enough to strip down and show her body to a stranger like The Tailor, even though it angered her somewhat. A week previously, I doubt if she would have been able to do that.

Short of having her noggin whacked off, probably. Although, if someone were to immediately place it back in place, would she heal fast enough to survive it? Hmmm…. :)

Hmmmnn…. I would say yes, because with an ability to survive any catastrophic injury, that would be just one more catastrophic injury.xD

MOLLIE!! haha Cool I like the literal never say die aspect! I like the possibilities of the power and the take given on it.

So Mollie is kind of like a slower Wolverine?

      From Benita:

No, not like Wolverine. He heals at a miraculous rate and can regenerate. Mollie doesn't and can't. Her ability to heal faster than normal humans is just a part of the survivability aspect of her meta powers. The adaptability part kicks in when something has happened to her, like getting all her limbs cut off and replaced by mechanical ones. Her body accepts the new condition, adapts to it and goes on with life.

In a way, Wissenschaft's goal of creating the ultimate blend of human and robotics is perfected in Mollie, but only because she has the ability to not die from the surgeries and make use of the robotics. Without these abilities, I seriously doubt if he would have succeeded in this with anyone else. His methods were too brutal and he cared very little for his "patient." Tara, which he thinks is his goal realized, is pure robotic. He was so blinded by his work that he never recognized Mollie for her true self – thank heavens or she would never have been able to escape from him. <div style="margin: 6px 0pt 0pt; display: block;"><a class="a2a_dd" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save"><img src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_171_16.png&quot; alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" border="0" height="16" width="171">

would Mollie then be able to grow fins / flippers and maybe gills in a partially aquatic environment? or would her power modify her into something more seal / otter -like? or would she gain the ability to breath via skin as some amphibians?

My guess is yes, but I haven't asked Benita yet. Drowning would be a pretty traumatic death, so rather than die she'd have to adapt. I don't think it would fast or pleasurable in the transition stages, but adapt she would.

        From Benita:

Sorry guys, Mollie would not grow gills – that would be like regenerating. I thought about this and I believe her survivability powers would kick in and not let her die and her adaptability powers would slowly provide her lungs with the ability to pull the oxygen from the water as she breaths. But I also think the pain would be excruciating until her lungs adapted. Long one continual session of drowning but without dying from it. Personally, I hope she never has to experience this.

If she adapts to whatever you attach to her (like the cybernetics), could they not just remove the cybernetic parts and attach human parts from a donor and she would simply adapt to the transplants?
With all of the civilians dying left and right in this story I’m sure there are plenty of fresh, spare body parts lying around xD
